Posts can only be made by MVAS members in good standing who are registered users. MVAS members should receive an initial set of login credentials shortly after their membership application has been processed. Since all memberships expire in March the roster will be reviewed after the closing of the renewal period and the list of registered users on the website edited as needed. If you have problems logging in please contact WebMaster@MVAS.org and we’ll work with the Membership Director to reconcile our membership lists.
The post system used by WordPress is similar to Facebook in that there is one central place where all posts are placed. However, posts in WordPress can also be assigned to a category making them easier to sort and view by topic.
To create a post select + New/Post from the WordPress menu at the top of the page. The first time you create a post you will be shown the basic instructions on how the WordPress editor is structured. You can also access the detailed documentation from these instructions. Once your post is ready to publish please select a category from the list on the right. If a category is not selected the post will automatically be assigned Uncategorized. The list of current categories is given below. These may change as needed. All posts will appear on the Blog page in chronological order. For now, all posts and comments must be approved before they are published; this is primarily as a deterrent for spam and bots.

Equipment Reservations: A place to post reservations of shared MVAS resources like the Novak observatory.
