I’ve always been fascinated with M4 due to its southern location and proximity at Antares, but its southern declination and the fact it’s well placed in the evening sky near the summer solstice also makes it a challenge to observe an image. One of these years I’ll get smart and look for it in the morning sky one a cold clear winter night.
