A 10" f/6.3 LX200GPS

My latest addition... a wonderful and relatively rare 10" f/6.3 LX200 GPS mounted on my Atlas. I managed to get it out long enough tonight to get it up on the mount and the alignment tweaked. The seeing was absolutely horrible, but I had a pleasant evening observing the moon through gaps in the clouds. Tomorrow she'll get fitted with a guide scope and camera. I'm hoping that this will serve as a narrow-field companion to my SN10 as well as a visual scope.

Fun stuff.

If 50 years of amateur astronomy and space exploration has taught me anything it is that the Earth is a very special place. It would be nice to protect it like it’s the only Earth we’re ever going to have.
