This was the first of two test images taken with my LXD75 SC8 at f/10 with my Canon 550D using ISO 3200. Using this telescope without a guider kept things very simple and provided a degree of natural dithering which proved very effective at smoothing out the noise and banding you often see when using a high level of gain. This turned out so well I’m tempted to try ISO 6400.
