Saturn wih Moons and Shadow transit
Hi All,
The seeing was okay, somewhat stable tonight 06-06-11 around 10:00pm, I just caught the end of Dione's shadow transit across Saturn, look at Saturn's limb, just above the rings.
The 4 visible moons in this image are Rhea, Mimas, Dione, & Tethys.
DMK fire-wire camera & 10" Sct, 2x barlow,
954 frames stacked per RGB in Registax

Nice capture of the moons
Nice capture of the moons John. I was out at the same time, but I didn't capture the shadow transit. I will review my raw avi's and see if I can pull it out. I will have to start trying to capture moons next.

Very nice! Shadow transits on Saturn are really neat. I had my gear out last night (June 7th) and I had a pretty good run. I'll get the images processed after I get home from work.
