Space Station Flyby
My buddy called me about a month ago around 10:00pm and asked if I was standing outside. He said the space station was about to fly right over us. I ran outside with my scope to try to get a glimpse. I was amazed when it flew by. I had no idea it would be that bright and move so quickly. I didn't even know you could see it with the naked eye. I'm sure I looked like a fool running around my backyard trying to relocate an 80 pound scope and stand(trees were in the way). I was not skilled or prepared enough to see it through the scope.
The whole point is that I had no idea how cool it would be.

It always impresses me how
It always impresses me how stately it appears as it glides overheard. I haven't seen it through a scope in mny years, but I've heard that it has gotten so large you can easily see the structure. I'll have to keep my eye out for it the next time we get a stretch of clear weather.
