M95 (THETA) Barred Spiral Galaxy

Hi All,

It finally cleared off after a whole month of miserable weather, Yeah!

I went to JBSPO last night and unfortunately got my truck stuck driving into the compound, all powdery snow & ice....spent about an hour digging out of the snow, finally got out!

After digging out,
I decide to stay and shoot a couple of objects with my 16" scope.

Here is M95 a Beautiful Barred Spiral Galaxy in Leo, looks like the classic Theta Symbol. Also note, a very nice Ruby Red Carbon Star to the right of the galaxy at 3:00 position.

60 minute exposure, homemade 16"F4.5 scope, and QHY8CCD.

Best Regards,
John Chumack
