M46 Open Cluster with NGC2438 Planetary Nebula

Hi All,

It finally cleared off after a whole month of miserable weather, Yeah!

I went to JBSPO last night and unfortunately got my truck stuck driving into the compound, all powdery snow & ice....spent about an hour digging out of the snow, finally got out.

After digging out,
I decide to stay and shoot a couple of objects with my 16" scope.

Here is M46 a Beautiful Open cluster with a wonderful foreground object, NGC2438 a Planetary Nebula(Dying Star, Lots of pretty star colors in this cluster.
One of my favorites!

30 minute exposure, homemade 16"F4.5 scope, and QHY8CCD.

Best Regards,
John Chumack
